Pumpkin Patch 2010!

It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend and we didn't take the weather for granted. Friday evening we went to the park and Saturday we were going to go to the Apple Fesitval in LeClaire, My mom read it in the paper and thought it sounded fun...too bad she didn't read the part that it was only Sunday! So we pretty much drove out to LeClaire to walk around the Welcome Center once and eat lunch at Subway (the slowest Subway in the QC by the way!).

Sunday Matt and I decided to take Carter to the Pumpkin Patch! He definitely had more fun this year :). He was able to run around, feed the goats, ride the ponies and the train! It did seem a little strange to be at the pumpkin patch in tank tops though! We rode out to the Patch to pick out our pumpkins but they were all pretty picked over or just plain yucky. I guess the pumpkin crop wasn't good this year because the lack of rain. Oh well, we had a fun day and Carter picked out a baby pumpkin and Matt and I will just buy ours at Hy-Vee :). It wouldn't be a day with the Hatzs without a funny story....

Matt has been working on the outside of the house getting it ready to be sided. So once he was done tearing the back off our shed (long story), he took a shower really quick, grabbed a pair of shorts from the clean laundry  and we headed out the door to the pumpkin patch. Cut to us standing in line for the train and the guy behind us quietly mentions the Matt that he had something hanging from his cargo pocket. He looked down and hanging there was....

MY THONG!!

And then I died...

Please note, that the train was NOT the first thing we did at the pumpkin patch - we had at least been there ten minutes. Is it possible no one else saw that?!

Some pics of the day (does not include thong pic!):
