20 Months!

Carter Man you are another month older! You are getting so big and becoming such a big boy We love you so much and can't imagine our lives without your sweet smile :). Happy 20 Months Carter Man!

Here is what Carter has been up to:
  • Since he is getting closer to two he has decided to throw "terrible two" tantrums - fun! fun!
  • Talk, talk, talk! The man is talking up a storm and learning new words everyday. My favorite are where are you?, oh no, uh oh, oh my, Herky, hawkeyes, blue, Hayden, Molly, Addison, choo choo (for trains), Ho Ho Ho (for santa), and wee ooo! ...And my not so favorite MINE!
  • He walks backwards and beeps like he is a car backing up
  • He calls Matt "Matt" instead of Daddy like 9 times out of 10. The other day Matt walked in and Carter said, "it's Matt, yah!" I think it is funny. Matt.does.not.
  • He knows and can say most the names of the Sesame Street characters like, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Oscar, Big Bird, Abby, Bert and Ernie.
  • He loves to jump on the bed/couch while you sing "One Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed"
  • He is learning his colors. He can say blue, pink, orange, green, red and purple. But everything is blue when you ask him. Although the other night he did pick up his orange cup and said, "orange." So perhaps he is learning. :)
  • He loves to "sing" the Iowa Fight song and his ABCs. You can't identify many, if any, words but he has the melody just right!
  • He loves balls, cars, Sesame Street, his loveys, music and dancing.
  • He helped decorate the Christmas tree over the weekend. He LOVED it! He kept signing and saying "more" after putting an ornament on the tree. So cute! He also says "hi" to the tree every morning after he wakes up :)
  • He loves brushing his teeth! Anytime he hears the water running in the bathroom he runs in there, gets up on his stool and starts brushing his teeth. Crazy man!
  • He will repeat your name (example: mom, mom, mom, mom, mom) until you acknowledge that he is talking to you
  • After his nap, he waits for and waves at the bus that goes down my mom's street. Every.day.
You are growing up so fast and we love you very much!!
"Little boys are treasures
Who are worth their weight in gold.
And charm everyone around them
From the time they're minutes old.

They're Mommy's little darling,
They're a special pal to Dad,
And they bring the very happiest days
A family's ever had."
