Isla ~ 7 Months

My Girl! Time is flying by and somehow you turned 7 months old! Which means that you are in the second half of your first year ::tears:: How did this happen?! You are growing and learning and we love you so very much.

What Miss Isla has been up to:

• You can sit up unassisted
• You are working on crawling. Gets up on her hands and knees and rocks but can't quite figure it out. Gets VERY frustrated!
• You can army crawl!! (started 11/18)
• You are eating 3 meals a day with a bottle snack in the afternoon. You LOVE solid food and are like a little bird opening your mouth as fast as I can put food in :) You also will kick you legs when the food gets close to you mouth ~ so excited!
• You are still a little peanut. I bought a 6-12 month outfit for your 6 month pictures but didn't try it on you until the morning of pictures and it was HUGE! But we made it work
• You are getting very smiley and always smile if anyone touches or kisses your nose
• You also will smile/laugh at any funny noises or discussion of bodily functions (just like big bro!)
• You study everything! The other day we were over at my parents' house dropping the kids off early and my mom stil had her hot rollers in and you couldn't get over it. You just kept staring at grandma like 'what is on your head?'
• You love to stand, sit and lay on your back ~ you will get pissy on your stomach because OMG! just can't crawl. This has decreased slightly since you now can move to get something
• You are still a drooly mess but still no teeth.
• You use your voice a lot but still not a lot of babbling yet... you are very loud!
• You are a pretty happy girl ~ not quite as happy as Carter was as a baby because I seriously do not remember him being crabby ever at this age. You can/will get crabby if tired and/or hungry. You also have quite the temper!
• You stayed with a babysitter (that wasn't family) for the first time when mommy and daddy went out to dinner for Auntie Jo's birthday!
• You have a new baby cousin/BFF Tierney! You are no longer the youngest grand baby on the Tiemeier side
• You survived 2 nights away from mommy (mommy survived too)
• You have numerous nicknames and will probably never know you real name. These include: Schmook, Schmooks or Schmookie. Missy boo boo or Missy poo poo. Baby cakes. Schmila, Schmalizabeth or Schmalizzie. I have no idea why I add schma onto everything but it just comes out of my mouth :)
• You are starting to try to pull up. You only get as far as up on your knees
• We got a seat for the bathtub and now you take baths with your brother Carter ~ you love it!
• You LOVE your big brother Carter. Seriously, you will smile at him all day long and you when he pays attention to you. You think he is so silly!
