We had a great Valentine's Day this year!!! The big kids have had a countdown going for about a month now so Carter was really excited to finally change the number to 0.

| Happy Valentine's Day!!! |
We surprised Great Grandma with flowers, chocolates and the Valentine's the kids made the day before.
She was so surprised and so very grateful for our visit on a snowy morning. She mention to everyone that she saw that her great grandkids surprised her...as if they could miss us with our loud little ones.

Then it was off to the Bettendorf Y for some swimming. We forgot that Bettendorf schools had the day off so it was slightly busier than normal but we had fun nonetheless. Isla is doing such a great job swimming!! So very different than last summer. Granted she was too small for her water wings but she didn't seem to even really enjoy being in the water. Now she loves being in the water!! She is so cute...she generally grabs a noodle, floats on her tummy and kicks her legs. We didn't even prompt this she just did it herself. She is also getting brave and going down the frog slide (by herself on her tummy and with some assistance when sitting down).
After swimming we had to grab some popcorn since it was popcorn day at the Y and then it was off to get our heart shaped pizza!! We had some lunch ~ Isla practically ate an entire watermelon by herself before the
babies little kids went down for a nap. The older kids watched the Jungle Book while mom made some heart-shaped cookies for them to decorate. The kids decorated and taste-tested the cookies :).
The Meyer kids left and the rest of us walked down to our friend Donna's house to give her a Valentine's day surprise. We powered through even though it was very cold!! By the time we walked home, Cory, Jo and Matt were over for VDay dinner!!
It was such a great day!!
A hundred hearts would be too few
To carry all my love for you.
