Pumpkin Patch with My Preschooler!

Isla went on her first field trip with her preschool class last week. They went to Shady Knoll's pumpkin patch. Farmer Gene let them feed his sheep, look at his chickens, walk through a corn maze, talked to them about corn and pumpkins and let them pick there own pumpkin to take home!! This is such a fun field trip and we had perfect weather to be on the farm!!

*Side note: this was Carter' first field trip as well and after we went Carter talked about his farm for  months on end. His sentences usually ended with 'on  my farm.' He talked about it so much that when we went to conferences with his teachers that fall they actually thought we lived on a farm. Such a fun memory!

The farm didn't make quite that big of an impression on Isla but she had so much fun. She did feed the sheep even though they made her a little nervous at first. She listened very intently to Farmer Gene and his explanation of everything. She was always front and center when he was talking. Her favorite thing to do was play on the huge tractor they had on display. It was Isla's day to bring snack so that was another exciting thing that happened :).

With her pumpkin!

This was her favorite thing!

Had to do a comparison :)
