Oh, Hayden...

So everyone knows that Hayden is our first "baby" and is known to have a lot of, um, energy. She usually sleeps during the day at our house but gets very excited when people come over and when she is playing at my parent's house.

One of her favorite activities is to run bolt to the front window and bark at whatever she happens to see outside. She has done this forever and my mom usually joked that one day she would break through the window. No one ever really thought that could happen but evidently today was the day. We were all sitting in the family room hanging out when we heard a crash and then a shatter! Then Katie exclaimed, "Hayden broke the window!" Yes, you read that correctly.

Hayden ran up and SHATTERED my parent's front window!!! She ran back into the family room bleeding and Matt took her outside while Katie and I gathered the babies and Hank and my folks picked up the glass. It was insane and we all kind of looked around like did that just really happen?! Matt and I took Hayden to the schmancy new Animal ER where we found out Hayden would have to be sedated and get stitches on her nose - poor thing :(.

And while we got bent over charged an outrageous amount by the vet's office we feel very fortunate that it wasn't much worse. Most importantly, the babies are known to look out that window but were luckily safe in the other room at the time of the incident. Also, Hayden could have gone completely through the window and caused a lot more damage to herself and our wallets. My parents actually needed a new front window so while this wasn't the ideal way to have to get a new one they weren't as upset as the could have been (my parents rock! And just rolled with the punches).
