I don't know when I will stop doing these monthly updates but I don't feel quite ready yet...so let's get to it. Happy 13 Months Carter Man! This is what you've been up to:
- You say "hi" and "yeah"'
- Today, you said for first two-word phrase!! I was changing your diaper and Matt came up the stairs and you looked at him and said, "hi dad!" ::swoon::
- You can follow directions (go get me a diaper) and find known objects (where is Elmo?)
- You have a temper and can throw some big tantrums
- You are getting more into books but still don't sit that long to read them
- You can throw and kick balls - it is your favorite past time
- You are learning to use your shape sorter
- You LOVE to play outside
- You also love to play on the couch - we started a bad habit!
- You love drinking out of a cup like a big boy. You think it is the coolest thing evah!
- You still giggle when you are doing something naughty
- You like to eat dog food! (gross me out) You learned to open Hayden's food container and the other day I found you in the kitchen eating dog food. You looked at me and said, "MMM"
- You are completely transitioned to sippy cups and don't miss your beloved bottles at all. It was harder for mama to pack them away than it was for you :)
- You love dogs! Especially Hayden and Hank
- You "talk" all the time
- You got your first big boo boo tonight. :( You hit your head on the corner of a column at the Club. You cried and got a bruise!
- You are very busy and not such a good boy in church
- You learned to climb onto the couch and bay window - dangerous boy!
- You now walk into the house after getting out of the car. It.is.adorable.
I feel like you have grown so much just in the past month! You have got the walking thing down and have learned how to play with your toys - you know, the way they were meant to be played with. For example, you learned to hit the bolts on your work bench with the hammer! We love you so very much and you are too fun!
