Date Night!

For Carter and Me! We went on our first 'date' together to go see Disney on Ice! It worked perfectly because Isla wasn't old enough to go and Matt didn't want to ;). I prepped Carter all week that we were going on a date and he was very excited and truth be told I was very excited too!!

Before our Big Date!

Generally we go to the circus with the kids every year but this year decided to do something different and to see Disney on Ice instead. It was 100 Years of Disney theme so it was perfect that it wasn't all about the princesses ~ although we saw a lot of princesses.

We went the first night so the tickets weren't too expensive however we had to buy a toy, a light up toy, cotton candy with Alien head (for Carter) and Crown (for Addison), popcorn and Sno Cones for both kids. Whew!

The really cute story of the night was on the way over to the IWireless Center. We asked Addison what she wanted to see on Disney on Ice and she said 'Mushu,' which is the dragon from Mulan. We kinda told her that we didn't think Mushu would be there especially Mulan isn't the most popular princess. But when we walked over to pick out a toy would you believe who was there?!?! Mushu himself! Addison was in heaven!

It was really cool because while almost all of the princesses made an appearance not everyone had a long segment dedicated to them. But Mulan did and Mushu also made an appearance on the ice!

We had such a great time! Carter said his favorite part was seeing Mickey and didn't understand why Donald would run over Pluto with the zamboni :). He also mentioned that he was scared of Monstro the whale from Pinocchio.




 

Overall it was a wonderful evening with my boy! The only downer was the fact that Isla got sick that evening and had her temperature spike at 103! I did enjoy the show but was very worried about my little girl!
