Big Brother Class!

Carter's birthday week was a busy one. On Wednesday, he had his 3 year well visit with the doctor. It included an eye exam, which I didn't expect but Carter passed with flying colors. He also didn't have to receive any shots and we were all happy about that! He weighed 30 pounds 8 ounces and was 37 inches tall. Both in the 50th percentile.

After the appointment, we went to the hospital for Big Brother Class! The class was cute although I was a little bummed there weren't more children in the class. There were only two other families so Carter was not only the youngest but the only boy. We had to bring either a doll or a lovey so that the siblings could practice so we brought Mr. Pig of course! It was really sweet watching Carter hold Mr. Pig, feed him a bottle and put a diaper on him :). He also watched video and colored a card for new baby. We went up to the post-pardom unit and the nurse showed the kids a newborn in the nursery.

It was a really cute class although Carter's favorite part was probably eating the cookie while watching the movie :). After all was said and done he did get a 'graduation' certificate although when he held the bag of flour thing that was supposed to simulate the weight of a real baby Carter forgot to support the head and it fell off! So even as a graduate, he will still be closely monitored when new baby arrives. :) He also told the nurse that he was having a baby brother when she asked...we shall see!
